Description

Decatur Genesis II Directional Police Radar w/ Dual/Single K-Band Directional Antennas - Law Enforcement Direction Sensing Radar w/ Stopwatch Mode KPH/MPH Product information

Decatur Genesis-II Directional - Direction Sensing Police Traffic Radar System offers another level of control when it comes to traffic safety. Decatur's moving directional imagetechnology, combined with the industry's first 32-bit DSP processing, makes Decatur Genesis II Directional Police / Law Enforcement Radar the most advanced Radar Guns available today.

Simple and Automatic Same Lane: decatur Genesis-2 Directional Advanced Technology Police Radar is able to automatically determine if a same lane target is going faster or slower than the patrol car. Decatur Genesis II Directional Police Traffic Radar can now provide the operator with the proper same lane target speed instantly, requiring no additional steps by the operator. Same Lane Mode has become simple on this Decatur Radar Gun. Advanced Target Identification: Whether the patrol vehicle is stationary or moving, Decatur Genesis 2 Directional Police Radar makes it easier to identify your target. You decide which direction of traffic to measure. You can track vehicles going in both directions simultaneously, or isolate your focus to traffic moving in either direction.

Improved RFI Rejection: Decatur Radar Genesis II Directional utilizes a unique combination of twin interference filters - one in the antenna and the other in the counting unit. Decatur Traffic Radar GenesisII Directional also includes an RFI detection system in the computer. This redundant method has improved the ability of Decatur Genessis2 Police Radar to reject outside interference and operate imperviously in high interference environments. Waterproof Antennas: Decatur Genesis II Directional Law Enforcement Radar uses Silver Ring K-band Directional antennas. The horns are machined from a solid block of aluminum and an O-ring seal keeps everything dry inside.

Small Detachable Display: Decatur Genesis-II Directional Radar 's small detachable display unit can be mounted almost anywhere in the patrol vehicle. The LED display is visible even in direct sunlight, and the display can be automatically dimmed at night thanks to a built-in ambient light sensor.

Intuitive Graphic Displays: The mode window displays error messages, settings and other alpha numeric information in a user-friendly and intuitive manner. Other police radars rely on seven segment number displays, which often result in cryptic messages that are very difficult to understand.

The Sensible Approach to Fast Targets Fast, Faster, Fastest One of the recent advances in police radar is the ability to identify FASTER targets. It is also one of the most misunderstood features. "Oops, I Thought That Was You" Some other manufacturers promote a "Fastest Target Mode." That method lets the radar display the very fastest target it can find. The potential for error in this method is obvious. The operator may think that the fastest speed is the speed of the sports car passing the truck in front. The traffic radar, however, may have been measuring the speed of a very distant car the operator did not notice. The Fastest method fails to abide by evidentiary requirements and risks having a large number of citations dismissed. Fast Done Right The desire at Decatur was to make Decatur Police Traffic Radar Systems an effective tool that your department can use to provide honest evidence that will stand up in court. When a Decatur Radar is placed into the Fast mode, Decatur Police Radar will display and track the speed of the vehicle that is the second strongest target - as long as that target is going faster than the primary target. The full Doppler audio is also generated for the Fast target and the operator can lock a Fast target just as easily as the primary target speed can be locked. This is the only method of clocking fast targets that meets all of the evidentiary rules demanded by the courts. Decatur method removes the potential for error in identifying targets, and it makes the most sense to an operator.
