Simmons AETEC 3.8-12x44mm Wide Angle Adjustable Obj. Rifle Scope features the aspherical lens system which was first used in very expensive binocularsand cameras. It wasn't used in rifle scopes because it couldn't take the pounding that scopes demanded. Simmons has created an asphericallens system, just for Rifle Scopes. It performs beautifully in theircompact 44mm scope, the Aetec. It allows a wide field of view with acompletely flat image. and the edges are as bright as the center. Plus,it has a longer eye relief than most conventional wide angle systems. Simmons Aetec features fully multi-coated lenses, 1/4 MOA adjustments, and is waterproof, shockproof and fogproof.
