The United Shield Level III+ lightweight ballistic shield is a mobile high protection shield which provides multi-strike protection from standard Level III rounds (7.6251 Nato Ball) as well as the 7.6239 123gr MSC AK47 and Multiple 5.5645 rounds. The shield is curved and is constructed using a proprietary UHWMPE to achieve industry leading weight. These new lightweight shields are offered in several different shapes and sizes to fit the end users needs. Standard lightweight Level III+ shields come standard without viewport, but viewports are available. Addition of an LED light is also available.

Levels of Protection: The shield is constructed from 100% UHMWPE and is rated to NIJ Level III+. This unofficial level covers the traditional NIJ Level III performance for 6 strikes of 7.62 x 51mm NATO Ball (US designation M80 Ball) and also the widely recognized threat from AK47 MSC 7.62 x 39mm round, 5.56 x 45 55gr M193 and 5.56 x 45 62gr Federal Bonded (LE223T3).
