Lightweight Level III+ Shield - The United Shield Level III+ lightweight ballistic shield is a mobile high protection shield which provides multi-strike protection from standard Level III rounds (7.62×51 Nato Ball) as well as the 7.62×39 123gr MSC AK47 and Multiple 5.56×45 rounds. The shield is curved and is constructed using a proprietary UHWMPE to achieve industry leading weight. These new lightweight shields are offered as a 24" x 48" curved shield to fit the end users needs. Standard lightweight Level III+ shields come standard with viewport. Addition of an LED light is also available. Specifications: Levels of Protection: The shield is constructed from 100% UHMWPE and is rated to NIJ Level III+. This unofficial level covers the traditional NIJ Level III performance for 6 strikes of 7.62 x 51mm NATO Ball (US designation M80 Ball) and also the widely recognized threat from AK47 MSC 7.62 x 39mm round, 5.56 x 45 55gr M193 and 5.56 x 45 62gr Federal Bonded (LE223T3). The shield is finished in black ballistic nylon with a hard wearing rubber edge protector trim. Horizontal handle is standard, but all handles are available on this shield. Custom sizes also available upon request. Accessories: Accessories including different handle configurations, lighting systems, shield bags, gun ports, extendable legs are available. Color and Finishes: The standard color is black cloth covered, camouflage etc may be requested.
