Another industry first from CROSSTAC! The Modular Maintenance Block Kit is the ULTIMATE block for your AR-15 / AR-10. This kit gives you multiple tools in one. This system holds an AR-15 upper on one side, and an AR-10 on the other. This is the best holding method to torque barrels, and is far superior to clam shell clamp designs. not only is it stronger, but with one block you can fit all the different upper patterns, including lefties Also included is a mounting system in the middle of the block that allows you to bolt in our modules to hold AR lowers and pistol frames. The module blocks have nylon set screws that you can adjust for precise fit in each magwell. Not all magwells are created equal some are broached, some EDM'd, some milled and all are different sizes slightly, so we give you the ability to make the tool fit perfectly and hold securely. The pistol blocks are designed to mount in either direction on the base - parallel or 90 degrees if preferred. filing the angle to tune a 1911 ejector is solid and accurate now! Change barrels, work on triggers, clean rifles, adjust pistol ejectors, sights, the list is endless. We've removed stuck barrel nuts that were way over-torqued with this block and zero slippage or damage to the upper. So much better than a clamshell !! Since we work on firearms here at Crosstac we also machined a ledge into each side of the modular base block so you can mount it level in your vise. The ledge catches the rear fixed vise jaw. One ledge for the AR-15 side, the other for the AR-10 side. Slick! CNC machined out of solid 6061-T6 bar stock, type III hard anodized for long life.
