The rear face of the sight is serrated, and the Ledge design aids shooters in racking the slide with a single hand. This rear sight requires machining of the slide for installation. Heinie recommends having a competent pistolsmith install these sights. This Nighthawk Custom tritium front night sight uses a tritium insert to provide a bright white dot during the day before transitioning to a glowing green dot at night, making this an excellent option for everyday carry. Day or night, indoor or outdoor, your eyes will be able to quickly acquire the front sight, allowing you to get on target faster. With a height of .325, the front sight is perfect for shooters using a full-time suppressor.
