The Small Base Sizer Die works by resizing the case below SAAMI minimums, which reduces the shoulder and body of the case by a few thousandths of an inch. In addition to resizing the case, the Small Base Sizer Die also de-primes it, removing the spent primer from the casing. This is an essential step in the reloading process, as it prepares the case for the next stage of the reloading process.
