The Aimpoint Acro P-2 is the next generation of the ACRO series of sights Aimpoints family of optics dedicated to stand up to the extreme abuse of a semi-automatic pistol slide. It features an enclosed optical channel/emitter, keeping the sight fully protected from the elements. The Acro P-2 was tested to withstand the extreme shock, vibration, temperature changes, and material stress generated by firing over 20,000 rounds of .40 S&W ammunition. Demands of professional users have been taken into account and are deeply ingrained in every part of the optic, including the mounting solution. The Acro P-2 is ruggedly overbuilt to protect not only the enclosed electronics but the shooters aiming solution. Aimpoint dedicated a great deal of design and engineering into making the toughest pistol optic available. The optic incorporates 3 dimensional cues that assists the shooter in properly aligning the handgun in the direction of the target. This results in the red dot appearing on target with significantly less effort to the user. When presenting a pistol equipped with an optic the shooter relies on the appearance of the reticle/red dot. When it doesnt appear, the cognitive tax is significant.
