While the Thompson Center Compass and Venture rifles have some quality features at a base gun price, they don't have a scope base. Adding a scope base to these rifles can turn a good gun into a great one, especially if the shooter intends to use the rifle for long-range shots. The right scope base for your gun and shooting preferences can make a world of difference, which is why knowing how to choose a scope base is important. Scope bases add extra height to the scope when attached. The built-in angle allows the shooter to adjust for long-range shots that the reticle wouldn't have allowed the shooter to see before.![]()
Anarchy Outdoors Thompson Center Compass and Venture Scope Bases add either 20 or 30 MOA. While 20 MOA may not seem like much, it mounts the scope at a downward angle, so the shooter can easily dial for longer shots. If you want to reach even further targets, a 30 MOA will help you hit them. Our Thompson Center Picatinny rail scope base custom fits the Compass and Venture model. To ensure durability, we machined this piece from solid 7075-T6 aluminum and Hardcoat Anodized it in matte black.
Our scope bases also come with a bubble level. A level helps the shooter make sure their setup is vertical before sending a round downrange, which is very important as any cant in the system will cause the shot to be off.
