The Oberwerk 25x/40x100mm Military Observation Binocular, an Oberwerk flagship product, come with 100mm semi-apochromatic triplet multi-coated objectives (that's about 4" across!). This is the very same binocular that was so favorably reviewed in the June 2000 issue of Sky & Telescope magazine. Do you have a magnificent view from your oceanfront, lakefront, hillside, mountain, or penthouse property? Nothing can compare with this high-quality optical instrument. Rotating ocular turrets of Oberwerk 25/40x100mm Military Observation Binoculars allow high-power viewing at 40x (the binoculars include both 25x and 40x oculars mounted on rotating turrets!) True giants, Oberwerk 25/40x100mm Military Observation Binoculars are two feet in length and weigh over 26 lbs! Until recently, they were only available to the Chinese military. With this much light-gathering power, they are ideal for astronomy- for planetary observation and comet hunting. Apparent field of view is a very wide 67.
